General Manager Position

One of the west's finest and longest operating city clubs has begun the search for a new General Manager. The Montana Club, in Helena's downtown business district, has a solid resident membership of 280 and another 200 non-resident members.  The Club is governed by a nine member Board of Governors.

The General Manager's position has been held by two individuals over the past 13 years. The GM has three direct reports - the Office Manager, The Chef, and the Dining Steward. The Club has reciprocity with some of the finest city, yacht and country clubs throughout the United States. Annual revenue is in the range of $475,000 - $700,000.   The Club's Board is prepared to negotiate an annual starting salary near $48,000 plus benefits for the successful applicant.  The new GM must have excellent hospitality skills, personnel management skills, and a deep knowledge of Club operations, accounting, food and beverage costs and financial statements.
